Introducing My New Facebook Group: I am thrilled to announce the launch of our new Facebook group, a dedicated space for all birth workers in Portugal! Whether you're a doula, midwife, IBCLC, babysitter, nanny, bodyworker, postpartum chef, or any professional involved in the birth and postpartum journey, this group is for you.
Why I Created This Group
The journey of supporting families during pregnancy, birth, and beyond is both rewarding and challenging. In Portugal, there is a growing community of birth workers who are passionate about providing the best care possible. However, the need for a centralized space to connect, share experiences, and support one another has become increasingly evident. That's why I created this Facebook group—a place where we can come together, learn from each other, and foster a supportive community.
Who Is This Group For?
This group is open to all professionals involved in birth and postpartum care in Portugal, including:
Doulas: Supporting families emotionally, physically, and informationally through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
Midwives: Providing expert medical care and guidance throughout the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum phases.
IBCLCs (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants): Offering specialized breastfeeding support and education.
Babysitters/Nannies: Caring for newborns and supporting families as they adjust to life with a new baby.
Bodyworkers: Helping mothers and babies through techniques like massage, chiropractic care, and other forms of physical therapy.
Postpartum Chefs: Providing nourishing meals tailored to the needs of postpartum recovery.
Pelvic floor physiotherapists, paediatritians, TCM doctors, etc
What You Can Expect
In this group, you'll find a welcoming and inclusive environment where you can:
Connect: Network with fellow birth workers from across Portugal. Share your experiences, challenges, and triumphs.
Learn: Access valuable resources, tips, and advice from other professionals in the field. Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, there's always something new to learn.
Support: Offer and receive support in a safe space where everyone's contributions are valued. Whether you have a question, need advice, or just want to share a success story, you'll find a community ready to listen and help.
